Aquamarine Cafe in Kodiak Island

My food was bland and I was overcharged. The owner was very rude until they figured out that indeed they were wrong and they were still reluctant to adjust the bill. They have such a stunning view but the inside walls are too busy and the music too loud.

First visit was pleasant, an interesting array of meals to choose from, food tasty and generous. Will return

The menu is so big you wonder if it can be any good but the gyro was delicious. Husband had the flat bread and really liked it too. The wait staff was very pleasant and overall a good dinner for a reasonable price. Also a nice location there near the harbor.

The best halibut tacos I’ve had and best meal since arriving in kodiak. The server was so funny such great service Recommend highly. We’ll be back

The only reason they get 1 star is because 0 stars isn't an option. Just left there. Had a young man waiter who didnt write anything down. Service was awful. Four entrees came out at four different times. Chef salad, chicken caiciatore, bacon cheeseburger, and sausage pepperoni roll. 2 were wrong. The last one was a 45 minute wait and was cold. Had to ask 5 times for iced tea and 4 times for salad dressing. And we weren't given any discounts. Needless to say, we will never eat here again and good luck to anyone who tries to get food here. Worst restaurant experience EVER!!!!!! If the food had been great, we would have been a bit more patient with the service. The food was mediocre at best. And cold food NEVER tastes very good.

My family's entrees looked ok. Mine never showed up and neither did the ordered appetizer. Food is good, if you receive it and if you can stand the service.

The is AMAZING but the price are outrageous! So we (as a family) only ate there two times.

Came here once with my wife while in town for work. Terrible place. Server was rude, food took forever to come out, my burger came on an entire loaf of french bread that tasted awful with the burger and came out cold, my wife got the Fettuccine Alfredo that came out cold, way too much and she compared it to "not quite as good as a frozen dinner" Honestly it's a shame such a terrible restaurant is next door to a much better one. Not to mention the owner threatened to sue someone who left a negative review, if I wanted a weird burger and Stouffer's pasta I'd stay at home.

Very modern for a small town café, but nice atmosphere and good food.

Food is decent and my girlfriend and I enjoy the flatbreads. However the service here is absolutely horrendous and slow. We've given this place a few tries but each time it takes over an hour to get our food and a solid three hours between ordering and paying. It's a good place if you don't mind spending a long time in a restaurant.

Incredible pizzas and great, professional waiting staff.

It was not busy but the service was slow. Our burgers were undercooked, still very pink in the middle. My drink was never refilled. Just a reminder why I go there once a year.

My whole family loves eating here. The food is great, the service is lovely and they are very accommodating for families with small children. Delicious burgers, tasty pizzas and calzones, best deserts in town, and even gyros! Price may seem high at first, until you try eating anywhere else! Worth it!

What a lovely cafe. We had Olympia Halibut which was moist and delicious!

Went here one night late and drunk and LOVED it. Came back the next day sober, LOVED IT AGAIN! The staff were awesome and I could see I guy in the back delicately making my food both times (I sat at the bar). I asked, even though I almost didn’t need too, if that guy was the owner. I was correct. The attention to detail this guy had was astounding. I will never visit Kodiak and not go here. Better than Henry’s, Hana, Powerhouse, etc.

Great experience. Came in when it was slow. Waitress was nice and food came out pretty quickly. It was SO MUCH pasta, I couldn't finish it. Pasta was really good. Made from scratch alfredo, mushrooms, bacon, and I added chicken. Would definitely go back if I'm ever in Kodiak again.

Well decorated place, except one wall sculpture looks like a butthole. The pasta is good, but I don't like the chicken breast they used in the alfredo and I don't think it was worth $20 bucks. It seems like they need more waiters/waitresses for the evening to help move things more smoothly. However, the staff was nice. Overall, still one of the better restaurants in Kodiak.

Waited 20 minutes with no silverware on a dirty table, Gyro came out with meat harder than beef jerky. Cook came out an yelled obscenities at me. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Jesse is such a wonderful waiter, I hope he never leaves. Always willing to give you suggestions on what you should order and very attentive to what you need. The food is mediterranean based, an awesome place for chicken/eggplant parm, the flat breads are delicious, and the burgers are HUGE!

Friendly staff, very cool interior. Too many songs, TV's and radios playing. Cajun Cod was not good, just spicy breading. Fries were a bit soggy and Cole slaw had mostly mayo. Small beer selection and no dessert options. Hope they can improve!

Had a "breakfast" here. Took an hour to get the meal - no exaggeration there. Food was cold when we got it and was really awful.

Excellent facilities, oven roasted Halibut with grilled veggies absolutely wonderful. Staff very helpful. Natasha, server, was engagingly friendly and honestly helpful with cute Russian personality.

Terrible terrible! The food was disgusting, the menu is so big that you just have to know everything is frozen, and that's exactly what it was. I ordered a calzone and the veggies inside were so watery and gross, the way frozen and reheated bell peppers are. The service was absolutely horrible. I will NEVER EVER go there again!

Great place to get breakfast and one of the only places open on Sundays. Food was awesome and the portions were large. Will be coming back for sure.

Good food and friendly atmosphere, however the beer price for a domestic beer and an import are the same. So go with the import! Quality food deserves quality beer.

Pasta I ordered was amazing.But my husband's burger was raw in the middle. But they made him a new one with no problem.

Good food but very slow service. The restaurant was not crowded on a Sunday morning but the simple breakfast orders took about an hour to come out.

I've heard good things and bad things, but for my own critiquing I would say the food is really salty. Good pizzas and burgers. Good service, good staff and inviting environment. 4 stars
